KCR Reveals In The State Assembly That He Too Has No Birth Certificate

Telangana CM KCR has expressed serious concern that the controversial CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act) and National Population Register (NPR) will puncture the prestige (respect) of India before the rest of the world.
He stated in the state assembly that:
"When I myself don't have a birth certificate, how can I produce the certificate of my father," asked Mr. Rao, apparently referring to the new format of the NPR that will be rolled out from April 1.
"It is causing concern to me as well. I was born at my house in the village. There were no hospitals then. The village elder used to write a 'JanmaNama’( no official seal on record),” said 66-year-old KCR.
"When I was born, we had 580 acres of land and a building. When I can't produce my birth certificate, how will the tribals, Dalits, and poor produce their certificates," Rao asked.
Speaking on the issue for the second time in the day, KCR said TRS has some firm commitments and principles on which it would never compromise.
The CM said that the most irritating thing about the Citizenship Amendment Act is that it goes against the Constitution of India that promises to treat all citizens equally irrespective of their caste, religion, and creed.
KCR said the House would thoroughly debate the issue and pass a resolution to send a strong message to the entire country, it's Constitution and its stature in the world.
He voiced his concern that the country is losing respectability because of such a law. And the issue has been discussed in the United Nations and other world bodies, he further added.
