KCR extends Bakrid greetings
K. Chandrashekar Rao extended warm Bakrid greetings to the Muslim community and described the festival as a symbol of sacrifice, charity, peace, and brotherhood.
The Bharat Rashtra Samithi president said Bakrid teaches values of compassion, tolerance, and equality among people, regardless of social or economic differences.
He emphasised that the festival encourages unity and mutual respect while promoting spiritual reflection and humanity. KCR stated that on the holy occasion of Bakrid, every individual should embrace peace and divine contemplation in their hearts.
He also highlighted Telangana’s famous “Ganga-Jamuna” composite culture, where people from different communities live together harmoniously. According to him, festivals like Bakrid strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and social unity across the state.
He expressed hope that the spirit of togetherness and communal harmony would continue to grow stronger in Telangana during the celebrations. Bakrid, also known as Eid al-Adha, is one of the most important Islamic festivals and commemorates sacrifice and devotion.
Political leaders across India often extend greetings during major religious festivals to encourage harmony and inclusiveness among communities. KCR’s message reflected the importance of cultural unity and peaceful coexistence in Telangana’s diverse society while acknowledging the significance of the festival for Muslims.
