KCR's Bus Yatra: Reaching the Heart of Telangana
Telangana's BRS chief, K Chandrashekar Rao, is set to embark on a bus yatra starting from April 22, either from Alampur or Warangal. Lasting for three weeks, he plans to traverse villages, addressing public gatherings and meeting farmers to understand their concerns under the new government. Rao aims to cover 90 segments during this extensive yatra, focusing on grassroots engagement rather than large public meetings.
Key party leaders like KT Rama Rao, T Harish Rao, and Palla Rajeshwar Reddy are involved in strategizing the route and logistics for the bus yatra. Rao intends to interact directly with the masses, avoiding major city roadshows and delegating some responsibilities to party officials. While seeking Election Commission permission, party leaders stressed the need for security due to reported incidents of vandalism by opposition parties.
Amidst preparations, senior party leader Vasudeva Reddy approached the Chief Electoral Officer, Vikas Raj, requesting protection for the yatra and highlighting instances of alleged attacks on party property by Congress workers. The party aims for peaceful campaigning and hopes for a conducive environment during the upcoming elections, emphasizing grassroots engagement over grand public spectacles.
