KTR Accuses Congress of Ruining Hyderabad, Rallies Support for BRS in Jubilee Hills
BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has intensified his party’s campaign for the Jubilee Hills by-election, portraying it as a decisive battle between progress and decline. Speaking at a roadshow in Borabanda, he accused the ruling Congress government of turning Hyderabad “barbaad” (ruined), while asserting that the BRS had made the city “aabaad” (prosperous).
KTR campaigned in support of BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha, urging voters to “defeat the anti-poor Congress government.” He alleged that the Congress, despite gaining power two years ago, had failed to deliver on its promises and instead focused on demolishing homes built during previous administrations. “In this fight between the Car and the Bulldozer, the Car must win,” he declared, referring to the BRS election symbol.
He also condemned Congress leaders for questioning Sunitha’s capability, saying, “She is not alone — I, KCR, and Vishnuvardhan Reddy are behind her. We will protect the people from Congress goons.”
KTR further accused the government of diverting public funds to the Congress high command in Delhi while neglecting local welfare. “You send crores to Rahul Gandhi every month but claim there’s no money for farmers and the poor,” he charged.
Highlighting unfulfilled promises such as Rythu Bharosa for tenant farmers, Vidya Bharosa for students, unemployment allowances, and job creation, KTR said, “Two calendars have changed, but there’s still no job calendar.” He cited the Congress’s inaction in the Cantonment constituency as proof of their negligence, warning voters not to expect development in Jubilee Hills either. KTR concluded by urging residents not to fear government bulldozers but to stand with BRS to protect their homes and ensure progress.
