KTR Accuses Revanth Reddy of ‘Frustration Politics’ and Evasion of Accountability
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao launched a scathing attack on Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, accusing him of indulging in “frustration politics” and consistently evading accountability. Speaking at Telangana Bhavan after welcoming Congress leader Dosala Anil Reddy and his supporters into the BRS, Rama Rao alleged that governance under the Congress government had collapsed over the past two years.
Rama Rao claimed that instead of answering questions raised by the Opposition, Revanth Reddy resorted to personal attacks and intimidation. He alleged that the Chief Minister appeared uncomfortable whenever former Chief Minister and BRS supremo K Chandrashekhar Rao raised issues concerning governance failures and unfulfilled promises.
Highlighting specific concerns, Rama Rao questioned the delay in completing the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Project, despite 90 per cent of the work being completed under the previous BRS government. He also accused the Congress government of compromising Telangana’s rights in inter-state water-sharing matters and abandoning key welfare promises.
Responding to personal remarks made by Revanth Reddy against KCR, Rama Rao said he exercised restraint out of respect for the Chief Minister’s constitutional office but warned that such restraint should not be mistaken for weakness. He also dismissed criticism of his educational background, calling it irrelevant and hypocritical.
On governance, Rama Rao accused the government of failing to deliver on promises such as financial aid under Kalyana Lakshmi and monthly assistance to women. He asserted that the Congress administration was surviving solely on abusive rhetoric, not development. Reaffirming BRS’ political strength, Rama Rao expressed confidence that KCR would return as Chief Minister.
