KTR Pays Surprise Visit To A Night Shelter

Urban Development and IT minister KT Rama Rao paid a surprise visit to the night shelter at Golnaka on Wednesday to inspect and create awareness about the coronavirus situation in the state.

He was accompanied by senior officials from the revenue wing and the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). He also interacted with the residents of the area and asked them to stay inside their homes and stay safe.

He urged everyone to follow government rules of social distancing and also warned of strict actions to be taken against violators. He told them to maintain hygiene in and around their homes and to regularly wash their hands.

Earlier, Rao held a review meeting with officials at the GHMC head office and directed them to provide night shelters for the homeless and also make arrangements for their meals.
