KTR Slams Telangana Govt over ‘Inhuman’ Handling of Chevella Accident Victims
BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has strongly criticized the Telangana government over what he called the “inhuman” treatment of the Chevella accident victims. Expressing outrage on social media, KTR condemned the use of pushcarts, tractors, and garbage vans to transport bodies after the tragic incident, calling it a disgrace to human dignity.
In a scathing post tagging the Telangana Chief Secretary, KTR wrote, “Absolute lack of basic dignity in death! Are there no ambulances or hearse vehicles in the state?” He demanded immediate accountability from officials, questioning the administration’s preparedness to handle emergencies.
The BRS leader emphasized that such incidents reveal a complete failure of governance and compassion. “Don’t the dead and their families deserve some basic respect? What is this inhumanity? Which era are we living in?” he asked, slamming the government for failing to provide even the most basic facilities for victims’ families.
The Chevella bus accident, which claimed several lives, has once again highlighted the gaps in Telangana’s emergency response system. Citizens and opposition leaders have echoed KTR’s sentiments, demanding reforms and proper deployment of ambulances and hearse vehicles statewide.
KTR’s remarks have intensified political tensions in Telangana, with the ruling party facing growing public anger over its mishandling of the tragedy. The episode has sparked a larger debate about administrative accountability and the dignity owed to victims of disasters.
