KTR Suggest The Steps To Combat COVID-19

TRS working President and Municipal Administration Minister KTR directed officials of his department to focus on the sanitation in the towns given the spread of COVID-19.
Addressing the officials through teleconference, KTR said that officials should have coordination with the sanitation staff and the Health department officials.
He told them to continue the Annapurna canteens where is food is supplied at the cost of Rs 5 per plate. He said that proper steps should be taken to prevent mobbing at these centers.
Rama Rao advised the officials to send the homeless to the night shelters. He wanted the collectors to see that the foreign returnees keep themselves home quarantined. The minister also said, as the government issued orders to the people to stay indoors, the municipal staff should take up repairs of the roads.
He directed the officials to continue sanitation work in industrial estates and IT Parks. The funds for Corporate Social Responsibility programs should be used for anti-coronavirus activities. KTR urged Internet service providers to increase the bandwidth of the internet as most of the people were staying at home and use the internet in a big way.
Rama Rao said that the issues of the staff working in emergency and other services have come to his notice and said that police should be instructed to see that they maintain restrain towards them. He appealed to Home Minister Mahmood Ali and DGP Mahendar Reddy in this regard.
