The Minister appealed to the opposition parties in the State to work with the government for the betterment of the State, saying that the people would decide in the elections who were Lord Rama and the demon king Ravana. During his Monday speech at a series of district-wide development programs, Rama Rao pledged to create jobs for young people in the area by developing a 350-acre AquaHub near the Mid Manair reservoir.

The peak power demand in Andhra Pradesh as a whole was 13,117 MW. However, in Telangana, this amounted to 16,000 MW. He also mentioned that the Telangana government had increased the ST reservation quota to 10% from 6% and that the State government was spending Rs 10,000 crore to provide quality power to the people. The Chief Minister also realised a long-held tribal hope by transforming traditional tribal settlements into modern gramme panchayats.
