KTR demands solidarity among impacted families and criticizes CM Revanth Reddy for the demolitions of Musi.
The families impacted by the Musi River beautification project have been urged by BRS working president KT Rama Rao to band together and oppose the impending demolition of their homes. On behalf of the BRS, he promised to provide the displaced people with the necessary legal and physical support to protect their houses.
"Assemble wheelbarrows and brooms in front of your residences. He gave this assurance to the impacted families on Tuesday at Golnaka, Amberpet constituency, when speaking to them from Ambedkar Nagar, Annapurna Nagar, New Tulsiram Nagar, and nearby regions. "If you stay united, we will stand with you and fight legally, even if it costs Rs 10 crore."
"Assemble wheelbarrows and brooms in front of your residences. We will fight with you if you stay together, no matter how much it costs in crores," he promised.
He proposed that the locals replace the "RB-X" demolition markings with "KCR" as a symbolic gesture of defiance. Put KCR on your residence. Whoever dares to destroy them will be revealed, he said. He described the Musi Riverfront Development project as the Chief Minister's money-laundering scheme to enrich his masters in Delhi. He brought up the Congress's broken pledge from the Indiramma program, which called for the construction of dwellings rather than their demolition.
Rama Rao also questioned Union Minister G Kishan Reddy's unwillingness to stand up for his constituency, pointing a gun at BJP leaders for their lack of response on the matter. He said, "A true leader does not seek votes in the name of the God; rather, he treats his constituents as his gods and comes to their rescue when needed."
He mocked Revanth Reddy's suggestion to clean up 55 km of the Musi River for Rs 1.5 lakh crore, contrasting it to the more expensive Rs 40,000 crore Namami Gange project. He claimed that the BRS administration has already installed sewage treatment plants (STPs) and constructed bridges, investing a total of Rs 4,000 crore out of the budgeted Rs 16,000 crore in clean-up efforts for the Musi River.
"Under the Congress government, how has the cost exploded?" he asked.
The former Minister requested compensation and jobs for the victims, stating that not only may the project displace 16,000 families, but over 40,000 families as well. He remarked Despite warnings from the High Court, the Revanth Reddy government is blatantly continuing demolitions in some regions. He went on, "We will not stand by while the impoverished suffer."
Rama Rao issued a challenge to the Congress, asking them to keep the six promises they made during the election campaign. For the impoverished, we constructed one lakh double-bedroom homes. Give two lakh dwellings if you have the courage. The people will not be silent if you do not deliver. During the GHMC elections, when you show up asking for votes, they will with the same vote, show you the door," he declared.
