KTR requests that Maharashtra builders demand TS-bPASS
Saab ka Saath ka Vikas is all the BJP has to offer, but the BRS administration actually delivers. Telangana is a torchbearer, a trailblazer, and a trendsetter. According to Rama Rao, the rest of India will follow Telangana's lead tomorrow.
Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao urged builders and developers in Maharashtra to put pressure on their government to adopt the Telangana State Building Permissions and Self Certification System (TS-bPASS) model after claiming that many State governments were replicating Telangana's welfare and development programmes.
"Bring a copy of TS-bPASS to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and demand that the system be put into place.” Rama Rao warned CREDAI Maharashtra members at T-Hub here on Saturday that if he doesn't, "we will come and implement it in Maharashtra."
He asked the contractors to inform their government to send its officers here to observe how TS-bPASS operated because the Maharashtra government was implementing the same plan in Mumbai after Telangana's success in the Comprehensive Road Management plan. Additionally, he mentioned that certain ministers and representatives from Karnataka were in Hyderabad for the Congress Working Committee conference that was taking place there.
They arrived here to overthrow the BRS administration. There are no concerns, but it's wonderful that Congress Ministers are learning about many topics, particularly waste to energy and mechanisms for construction plan approval. Similarly, a team from Yogi ji's Uttar Pradesh had also travelled to examine TS-bPASS two days prior, according to Rama Rao, who also asserted with pride that what Telangana was doing today, the rest of India will follow suit tomorrow.
He declared, "We are a trendsetter, a torchbearer, and a trailblazer," adding that Telangana was making plans for both the present and the future.
The Minister emphasised that investing in infrastructure was essential for the prosperity of a State or country, saying Telangana had prioritised infrastructure development and it had paid off handsomely. The greatest slum development effort in the nation was also being undertaken by the State. He urged the CREDAI Maharashtra members to visit the colony, noting that it was Asia's largest dignity housing colony.
According to Rama Rao, "BJP just raises slogans of Saab ka Saath ka Vikas but BRS government delivers," a lot of investment was needed to create urban infrastructure in order to generate wealth if India was to grow its economy to a five trillion dollar level. Unfortunately, very few governments are aware of this fundamental fact.
In support of his claim, he cited projects like the Kaleshwaram and Palamuru Rangareddy Lift Irrigation as examples of how Telangana had obtained loans and invested in the productive sector.
The Cabinet had approved Metro service along the ORR as part of future planning. He added that preparations had been made to expand the Hyderabad Metro service from its current coverage of 70 km to 415 km, which would aid in future transit-oriented development. In terms of absorbing office space, Hyderabad had consistently beaten Bengaluru for four quarters. The Minister stated that the State administration had also planned for the security of water and energy for the following 30 years.
The Floor Space Index (FSI) is unrestricted by the State government. Given the expanding population, vertical growth was crucial. According to him, Hyderabad had the second-highest concentration of skyscrapers in the nation after Mumbai.
According to him, during the past eight years, 24,000 licences under TS-iPASS have been obtained, bringing in $50 billion in investments and providing employment for 24 lakh people.
