Kapil Sibal responds to PM Modi's dynasty remarks in Telangana.
On Sunday, Rajya Sabha member Kapil Sibal fired back at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's comments on the dynasty in Telangana by accusing the BJP of engaging in "politics of convenience" by aligning itself with dynastic political families in various states.
Prime Minister Modi criticised Telangana Chief Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader K Chandrasekhar Rao during a public rally in Hyderabad, where he also urged the state government not to allow any obstruction in the development's progress. Sibal tweeted, "PM takes a swipe at KCR, saying corruption and dynasties go hand in hand." Why did BJP sign up: The Akali people of Punjab, the Jagan people of Andhra Pradesh, the Chautalas of Haryana, the Muftis of Jammu and Kashmir, the Thackerays of Maharashtra,, etc. Certainly not dynasties once BJP got involved!" An ex-minister in the Union referred to this as "politics of convenience," and he was right.
Sibal also said in another tweet, "PM: Takes a swipe at KCR, says dynasty and corruption go hand in hand." The AAP is accused of corruption by the BJP.
That family tree doesn't lead anywhere dynastic. Corruption allegations can be made against anyone, regardless of family connections. "You use the term BJP, not dynasty. He asked, "Is BJP corrupt?"
In his speech in Telangana, Modi blamed dynastic forces that wanted to maintain their control over every system for being the true source of corruption.
Is it worth it to take a stand against corruption? Should we take up arms against corrupt officials? Should corruption in the country be eradicated? If the corrupt is to be punished legally, it doesn't matter how big or small they are.
Modi claimed this was why "these people" were so angry..
Modi argued that all forms of corruption could be traced back to the presence of dynasties, or "parivarvaad," and that the two go hand in hand.
