Kodali Nani: New Ration Cards In 3 Days
Kodali Nani, civil supplies minister of Andhra Pradesh recently chaired a workshop on the measures to be taken on the supply of quality rice. He said that eligible families will get new ration cards within three days. The ration cards will be granted after the launch of ward and village secretariats on 2nd October.
The process will include providing the receipt of the application, after verification completion and taking permission from the concerned authorities within 48 hours. The ration card will be provided the very next day.
The meeting, which was held on Wednesday, was attended by the senior officials of the department, civil supplies corporation and project officers of ITDAs in the state. Civil supplies minister, Sashidhar, explained that a detailed action plan for the procurement of paddy of consumable rice is readied from next crop season.
Nani said that Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy had promised to provide quality rice to all cardholders. He further added, “It is our duty to implement the promise made by the CM. We shall take all possible measures to procure only quality and consumable rice in order to supply it to the cardholders”.
