Launching an employment board to compete with LinkedIn
To compete with LinkedIn, Twitter is reportedly developing a jobs board to let verified businesses advertise open positions on their profiles.
A Twitter account with the handle "@TwitterHiring" was set up for the company, although it has yet to post anything to the account.
On Thursday, Nima Owji, an app researcher, shared a screenshot of the capability and wrote, "#Twitter will let verified organizations import all of their jobs to Twitter by connecting a supported ATS or XML feed!"
Add jobs to Twitter in minutes by connecting to a supported applicant tracking system or XML feed.
The service is called "Twitter Hiring" on the company's website, and it's advertised as "free" for "verified organizations to post jobs on your company profile and attract top talent to your open positions."
In addition, legitimate businesses can advertise up to five open positions on their accounts.
Twitter owner Elon Musk dropped hints about this function in May this year.
One of our users offered the name "Twitter" for a dating app, and Elon Musk said, "Interesting idea, maybe jobs too."
According to CEO Adam Ryan, workweek, a media company, reportedly has access to the new job posts function after paying Rs 82,300 a month for a subscription to the Verified for Organizations plan.
Even though people can already tweet open opportunities on the microblogging platform, this new tool may make it easier for businesses to find qualified applicants. TechCrunch said Twitter acquired Laskie, a job-matching technology business, in May. Thanks to the acquisition, the micro-blogging service may have helped in its efforts to develop and launch this feature.
