Lockdown Likely to Extend with These New Lockdown Norms

With the lockdown is likely to be extend after April 14, government has released new lockdown norms and to restart some essential economic activities.
PM Modi had an interactive video session with the chief ministers of states on April 11 and discussed the ways to contain the virus and on extension in lockdown dates. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said while the earlier mantra was “jaanhai to jahanhai (if there is life, you can enjoy the world)”, the way ahead would be guided by “jaanbhi, jahanbhi (life as well as our world)
However, there have been new lockdown norms which enable greater public movement along with containment strategies to prevent the virus from spreading.
Businesses and markets may be allowed to resume in areas that have no infections or a low incidence of the disease. States to assign districts, towns and cities as red, orange and green zones depending upon the vulnerability of the COVID-19 in the region.
This has made possible of restoration of normal life with terms likeuse of masks and social distancing in public places. However, there will be some experiments after these days of economic degradation.
“While calling for the lockdown, I had said that life comes first and emphasised the importance of lockdown and social distancing for saving our citizens. A majority of people appreciated this and discharged their responsibility by staying at home and helped save lives,” an office source said.
