Lok Sabha 2019 Elections Updates – Predictions for NDA turns in reality
The process for vote counting for 542 seats at the Lok Sabha has begun. The vote counting exercise is going on in different counting stations across the nation. The final results are also expected to be declared by late afternoon. We share the latest updates with you in this article.
With the counting still going on, Sensex trends have been affected for its performance. Sensex managed to jump nearly 600 points with an opening session on account of lead generated by NDA party. With the counting still in its juvenile stage, it was observed that NDA has already declared its win by leading all other parties.
The procedure for vote counting started around 8 am today. The counting will be done for voting for 542 Lok Sabha seats across various states and UTs nationwide.
As per statements made by Ajay Maken – Congress party leader, “It is expected that the results may favor Congress to win this election and form its independent government”.
He also added that the clear declaration of the winning party will only be made by evening. Apart from this, he mentioned that on account of the VVPAT system, the results of the vote counting sessions are expected to be delayed by another 5 to 6 hours.
Once the VVPAT counting procedure has been commenced, the procedure for the audit trail will soon begin. This is done as per the instructions are given by the Supreme Court.
