Lok Sabha Polls Phase 5
In the fifth period of polling on Monday, voters in 51 Lok Sabha supporters crosswise over seven States will make their choice. This stage will see one of the key challenges, between Congress president Rahul Gandhi and Union Minister Smriti Irani, in Amethi. Likewise, in the brawl are Home Minister Rajnath Singh and UPA administrator Sonia Gandhi.
It's a vital stage for the BJP, which in 2014 had won 39 out of these 51 seats and together with its partners indented up a count of 41 for the NDA.
Uttar Pradesh will see residents casting a ballot in 14 voting public while Jammu and Kashmir will see two voting demographics going to surveys. This is the primary decision in Ladakh division following its split from the Kashmir division not long ago. The different States going to polls are Rajasthan (12 electorates), Madhya Pradesh (7), West Bengal (7), Bihar (5) and Jharkhand (4).
In West Bengal, this stage will choose whether Trinamool Congress gets the chance to assume a national job post-May 23. Seven seats — Bongaon (SC), Barrackpore, Howrah, Uluberia, Serampore, Hooghly, and Arambagh (SC) are heading off to the surveys. The Trinamool won all the seven of every 2014.
