Lokesh will begin his padayatra on November 27
Nara Lokesh, the national general secretary of the TDP, is expected to start his 'Yuvagalam' padayatra again on November 27 from Rajole in the East Godavari district. It was put on hold on September 9 after his father and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu were arrested in connection with an alleged skill development case. Now that Naidu has been granted bail, the party intends to resurrect its grassroots political initiatives.
In January of this year, Lokesh set off on his padayatra from Kuppam in the district of Chittoor.
Initially, 4,000 km would have been covered across the state. The padayatra got off to a mediocre start, but massive turnouts later gave it impetus. But once Naidu was taken into custody, Lokesh had to call off the padayatra and work with the legal team to defend Naidu in the many charges that had been brought against him.
Naidu intends to continue running for office after November 29. The TDP intends to make a spectacular return.
