MahaYuti's Historic Victory in Maharashtra Hailed by AP Leaders
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan celebrated the MahaYuti’s sweeping victory in the Maharashtra elections, calling it a testament to the enduring trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.
Naidu, whose Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is a key ally of the BJP-led NDA, congratulated the alliance of BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP for securing a historic mandate. He emphasized that this victory reflects the people's faith in PM Modi's strategic vision, transformative policies, and commitment to building a "Viksit Bharat" (Developed India).
Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan echoed these sentiments on X (formerly Twitter), lauding the leadership of Modi and the MahaYuti's unity. The Jana Sena chief, who actively campaigned for the alliance, praised Maharashtra voters for choosing development, integrity, and unity over divisive politics.
"The legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj—symbolizing truth, valor, and justice—has inspired the people to choose progress. The collective leadership of Eknath Shinde, Devendra Fadnavis, and Ajit Pawar has instilled confidence in achieving the ambitious goal of a $1 trillion Maharashtra economy, contributing significantly to India's vision of a $5 trillion economy," Kalyan stated. He also expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support received during the campaign and looked forward to continued collaboration between Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh.
BJP state president Daggubati Purandeswari commended the workers and leaders for their hard work and noted that the victory sent a strong message against the Congress party's divisive politics. "The people have embraced PM Modi's vision of unity and rejected the INDI Alliance’s negative mindset," she said.
In contrast, Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president Y.S. Sharmila congratulated Priyanka Gandhi Vadra for her success in the Wayanad by-election, celebrating it as a triumph of constitutional values and the people's voice.
The results in Maharashtra and Wayanad mark key milestones for political parties and set the tone for the broader national discourse ahead.
