With the Maharashtra assembly elections just days away, the Mahayuti alliance is leaving no stone unturned in its efforts to secure a decisive victory. The coalition, which includes local leaders and NDA allies, has mobilized an impressive roster of campaigners to bolster its final push ahead of the November 20 polls.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will kick off the final leg of the campaign with a virtual address to booth workers on Saturday morning under the Mera Booth Sabse Majboot initiative, aiming to energize grassroots support.
In a show of solidarity and strategy, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will campaign in Thane, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s home turf. With its significant Andhra Pradesh and Telangana migrant population, the district is a key focus area. Naidu will also address a press conference at the BJP media center on Sunday.
Adding star power to the campaign, Telugu actor-turned-politician and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan will hold three rallies and a roadshow in Solapur, targeting youth and first-time voters.
Union ministers are also actively participating. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will hold three rallies, while Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Tourism and Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat will lead press briefings and campaign in key constituencies. Notably, Congress leader P Chidambaram will hold a press conference in Mumbai, coinciding with Sitharaman’s, creating a high-stakes political moment.
Prominent Maharashtra leaders in the Union Cabinet, including Nitin Gadkari and Piyush Goyal, continue their outreach in their constituencies. Meanwhile, BJP Chief Ministers Bhupendra Patel of Gujarat and Bhajan Lal Sharma of Rajasthan will connect with Gujarati and Rajasthani voters, emphasizing their community's vital contributions to the state.
The Mahayuti’s pitch highlights development achievements and the benefits of a "double-engine government." Women’s welfare remains a focal point, with leaders showcasing the Ladki Bahin Yojana, under which financial aid has reached over 2.5 crore women in Maharashtra.
As leaders traverse the state, the Mahayuti is sending a strong message of unity and progress, aiming to secure a landslide victory in this high-stakes election.
