Andhra Pradesh police special investigating team probing mass vote deletion application cases have hit a roadblock due to non-availability of internet protocol (IP) address from where the applications were being uploaded. The election commission authorities have written to investigators stating that it was not technically possible to provide the IP address of those who uploaded Form-7 applications.
Around 45 first information reports (FIR) were registered in Andhra Pradesh, after around 13 lakh Form-7 were filled for deletion of votes through in many cases the persons were existing.
The FIR's were booked under criminal conspiracy, cheating and several other sections of IPC, the representations of people act and information technology act. The election authorities have written to C-DAC for the IP address, however, the IP address could not be provided due to technical reasons.
