Modi: I declined KCR's invitation to join the NDA.
With his rhetorical criticism of the KCR-led party, Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to Hyderabad today and made no effort to placate the BRS high command. Now, Modi has disclosed that KCR fervently desired to join the NDA coalition after witnessing the BJP's resounding victory in the Hyderabad local body elections, but he rejected the offer because of KCR's Telangana strategy.
"I didn't want KCR to be identified with the Modi name and image. He only desired to plunder the populace. He even admitted to wanting his son KTR to succeed him.
But I argued that your family members cannot be handed CM positions as if they were entitled to them. This undermines democracy. After that occurrence, KCR ceased meeting with me," claimed Modi.
