N Chandrababu Naidu’s Family Security Knocked Down by Andhra Govt.

This came as a surprise to Telugu Desam Party chief N. Chandrababu Naidu who was vacationing with this family (wife Bhuvaneswari, son Lokesh, daughter-in-law Brahmani and grandson Devaansh) in Europe. The family was not aware that the Andhra Pradesh government has scaled down their security, until they landed in Hyderabad on Tuesday, claimed other TDP leaders. They also alleged that they were not informed prior to making this decision.
Naidu has Z+ security since 2003 when he escaped an assassination attempt by Maoists back then. Z+ is the highest security cover any VIP can enjoy in the country. It involves having 23 security guards around the clock. His son, Lokesh’s security has been downsized to Y from Z. While the security of other members of the family is completely drawn out. Lokesh was defeated in Lok Sabha elections held on April 11, which lead to the party losing power to YSRCP.
After coming to power, Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has taken many such steps including demolition of illegal constructions. Speaking to collectors and IAS officers at a meeting in Praja Vedika, the Chief Minister declared that a building built an extension to Naidu’s residence in Amravati would be wreaked. This would be the first step of the drive, against illegal structures. The drive would begin on Wednesday.
The opposition has alleged this act of YSRCP government as holding a grudge.
