NIA Officials In AP And Telangana Conduct Raids

The NIA (National Investigation Agency) has been monitoring terror funding nationwide. In this order, NIA officials are conducting searches in UP, Kerala, Bihar, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Delhi, and Telugu states on Thursday. NIA searches are happening in Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Guntur, and Kurnool. Searches are being conducted in PFI (Popular Front of India) houses workers in the Uppal and Ghatkesar areas of Hyderabad.
NIA officials are also conducting simultaneous checks at Autonagar in Guntur, 8 areas in Karimnagar, and Khadakpura street in Kurnool. The PFI office in Chandrayanagutta, Hyderabad, was seized.
It is known that NIA conducted searches in Telangana and AP 2 days ago on the activities of PFI and arrested 4 persons belonging to PFI on the charges of providing terrorist training. The local police in the Nizamabad district had earlier registered a case against PFI for inciting religious hatred and training in terrorist activities in the name of religious activities.
The case was later transferred to the NIA. NIA officials had already conducted searches as part of the investigation. Two Telugu states were searched for the second time on Sunday. Today, the NIA conducts searches in many states and detains and interrogates around 100 people. PFI chief Farvez and his brother were detained in Delhi. According to NIA sources, ED and local police are involved in this operation. A criminal investigation has been launched into allegations of funding terrorism, conducting training camps, and inciting youth to join terrorist organizations.
