NRI’s queue up with plea for tickets
As the Lok Sabha Elections are nearing the parties of Telangana are witnessing intense pressure from the NRI’s to get their chance for a ticket. TRS, Congress, BJP, and TJS are all been flooded with a list of NRI's who are willing to make their stand for the 17 seats available for the state of Telangana in Lok Sabha.
Out of all parties, ruling party TRS is facing maximum pressure from the Non-Residents. In recent state assembly elections TRS gave chance for NRI Shanampudi Saidi Reddy from Huzurnagar but lost against Telangana Congress Committee president N Uttamkumar Reddy. In a similar case where TJS offered a ticket to Dr Pagidipati Devaiah, an entrepreneur from the UK contesting from Wardhannapet also lost.
But this result doesn't seem to have any impact on the expatriate community and dozens of profiles are landing in the party offices. Political parties are hoping that NRI's would mobilize their own resources to contest in elections and not seek funds form the party.
Some of NRI's seeking tickets are ready to contest from wherever the party wants.
