Naidu Set to Become Chief Minister After Crucial NDA Meeting
Srikanth Aluri reports that a key NDA meeting will take place on Tuesday to officially declare N Chandrababu Naidu the chief ministerial candidate ahead of his swearing-in on Wednesday.
All elected MLAs from the TDP, Jana Sena, and BJP will attend the meeting in a banquet hall in Vijayawada. During the meeting, the elected members of the NDA will formally propose Naidu's name, and a resolution will be submitted to the governor.
Preparations for Naidu's oath-taking ceremony, scheduled for Wednesday near Gannavaram, are in full swing. The event is expected to be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, other state chief ministers, and NDA leaders.
TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu has confirmed TDP's position within the NDA and is heading to Delhi for an alliance meeting. While Naidu remained silent on the INDIA bloc's approach, Pawan Kalyan of Jana Sena will also attend the NDA meeting. Naidu emphasized the importance of the alliance with the BJP-led NDA for forming the upcoming government following the 2024 election results.
Naidu congratulated PM Narendra Modi and Amit Shah on the NDA's victory in the Lok Sabha polls, and they, in turn, congratulated him on the NDA's win in Andhra Pradesh. The NDA alliance in Andhra Pradesh includes the TDP, BJP, and Jana Sena Party.
