Naidu Vows to Double Remuneration for Volunteers, Slams YSRCP's Alleged Corrupt Practices
TDP national president N. Chandrababu Naidu has pledged to elevate the monthly remuneration of ward and village volunteers to ₹10,000 if the TDP-BJP-Jana Sena Party coalition secures power in the upcoming elections. Naidu emphasized that the coalition government would not only retain the volunteer system but also enhance their skill development opportunities to foster career growth.
Accusing the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) of amassing ₹160 crore from online gamblers through bonds, Naidu insinuated corruption, suggesting illegal gratification for legalizing online gambling. He contrasted TDP's fundraising methods, emphasizing their reliance on bi-annual membership drives and public donations rather than "illegal money."
Naidu advocated for the complete replacement of ₹2,000, ₹500, and ₹200 notes with digital currency to facilitate better tracking of online transactions, aiming to mitigate the influence of monetary power in politics. He condemned widespread phone tapping in the state, attributing it to YSRCP's alleged attempts to win elections through fraudulent means and dissemination of fake news to tarnish opposition credibility.
In response to YSRCP's alleged intimidation tactics using tainted police officers, Naidu expressed defiance, vowing to persevere in the fight against injustice. He urged voters to withhold support from YSRCP in the upcoming elections, warning of worsening conditions if they were to secure any seats. Additionally, Naidu announced plans for joint public meetings with Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan in West and East Godavari districts, with expected participation from BJP national leaders. He also launched an online donation portal for TDP, kickstarting it with his own contribution of ₹99,999.
