Naidu is granted four weeks of interim bail by the AP High Court in the Skill Development matter
In the Skill Development case, the Andhra Pradesh High Court granted temporary bail to Chandrababu Naidu, the former chief minister and national head of the TDP, on Tuesday, taking into account the health problems raised by the counsel. By nightfall, the former chief minister will be freed. Following the Monday arguments, the court set aside today's decision and said that the TDP Chief will be allowed bail until November 24. On November 28, Chandrababu Naidu is to surrender, under the court's ruling.
The TDP cadre is overjoyed that Chandrababu Naidu has been given provisional bail. On September 9, CID police in Nandyala detained Chandrababu Naidu in connection with a skill development issue. On September 10, he appeared before ACB Court in the morning. After being placed on detention, he was sent to Rajahmundry Central Jail around 10 p.m. Chandrababu Naidu has been detained at Rajahmundry Central Jail for the last 53 days; he was given release due to his health. However, the arguments for the quash petition, which was submitted by opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu of Andhra Pradesh, have concluded and it has been postponed till November 8.
