Nara Lokesh Calls for Massive Participation in Statewide Education Mega Meeting
Minister for HRD Nara Lokesh has called on citizens to actively participate in the Statewide Parents and Teachers Mega Meeting on December 7, aiming to address key educational challenges and foster stronger parent-teacher collaboration.
In an open letter on Friday, Lokesh emphasized the event's significance in strengthening schools and shaping the future of students. Highlighting its unique approach, he stated, “For the first time in the country, we are organizing a statewide parents-teachers meeting in a festive atmosphere. I urge public representatives, from ward members to the Chief Minister, to join without political bias.”
Lokesh explained that the meeting provides parents an opportunity to better understand their children’s academic performance, discipline, and interests, including sports and arts. The initiative is designed to help teachers identify and nurture young talent while addressing students' challenges collaboratively with parents.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment to depoliticizing education, Lokesh urged participants to avoid political symbolism during the event. He also invited donors, alumni, and voluntary organizations who have contributed to the development of schools to support the initiative.
The event underscores the government’s focus on fostering a transparent and inclusive education system, ensuring the holistic development of students through strengthened relationships among parents, teachers, and stakeholders. Lokesh’s call aims to inspire large-scale participation, making the mega meeting a transformative step in addressing pressing issues in the education sector.
