Nara Lokesh Concludes Productive US Tour with NTR Statue Unveiling, Reaches Out to NRIs for Andhra’s Growth

In a significant move to strengthen Andhra Pradesh's global connections, Minister for IT&E and HRD Nara Lokesh wrapped up a successful US tour by unveiling a statue of the late NTR in Atlanta. Lokesh’s trip, which spanned meetings with key figures in top Fortune 500 companies, aimed to boost investments in the state while fostering ties with the Telugu diaspora.

Throughout the week-long tour, Lokesh engaged with top executives from influential companies like Tesla, Microsoft, Google, Adobe, Salesforce, and Apple. Lokesh emphasized that the reputation of “Brand CBN” opened doors for discussions with these corporate leaders, enabling him to explore significant investment opportunities for Andhra Pradesh.

Lokesh's agenda included his participation in the global IT Serve Alliance Synergy conclave, where he delivered a keynote. In his speech, he underscored recent initiatives by the NDA government to drive technological advancement in sectors like artificial intelligence, green energy, and electric vehicle manufacturing, outlining Andhra Pradesh’s commitment to creating a forward-thinking investment landscape.

On his first foreign trip since being re-elected as a minister, Lokesh used the opportunity to re-establish connections with top corporations and forge new alliances following leadership changes within these companies. This initiative was intended to create structured working groups for future collaboration, focusing on Andhra’s growth.

The trip concluded on a high note with Lokesh’s meeting with the Telugu community in Atlanta, where he inaugurated the NTR statue near Cumming. Addressing the gathering, he noted NTR’s legacy as a source of pride for Telugu people, attributing their strong identity to the former leader.

In response to Naidu's recent arrest, Lokesh referenced the resilience shown by the Telugu people worldwide, mentioning the overwhelming turnout at the gratitude gathering in Hyderabad and the continued support from the community. He praised NRIs, whom he fondly termed "Most Reliable Indians," for their devotion to their roots, citing their contributions toward Andhra Pradesh's development.

Lokesh also addressed the difficulties faced by NRIs under the YSRCP administration, recalling instances of harassment against Andhra investors. "One businessman from California invested Rs 500 crore in Amaravati only to be troubled by authorities,” Lokesh stated, expressing admiration for the investor's perseverance.

Referring to his "Red Book," Lokesh indicated that the ongoing chapter would soon be followed by a third, hinting at forthcoming accountability measures. He clarified that these actions are intended not for revenge but for upholding justice.

Urging NRIs to invest in Andhra Pradesh, Lokesh assured them of his support and reiterated the NDA government’s vision for widespread entrepreneurship.
