Nara Lokesh Unveils 'Jayaho BC' Program for Backward Classes Empowerment
The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has unveiled its 'Jayaho BC' program, scheduled to commence on January 4, with a primary focus on addressing the concerns of the Backward Classes (BCs) in the State. Nara Lokesh, the party's General Secretary, has announced plans to develop a separate manifesto aimed at uplifting the economic status of BCs.
The initiative will kick off with a workshop led by TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu, where strategies for 'Jayaho BC' will be discussed. Meetings will be held in all Lok Sabha and Assembly segments, along with mandal headquarters gatherings. A significant State-level public event will culminate in the release of a dedicated election manifesto for BCs.
Lokesh, who gained insights into BCs' challenges during his Yuva Galam Padayatra, passionately emphasized the strength and significance of the BC segment. He underscored the TDP's historical commitment to BCs, citing the efforts of party founder NT Rama Rao and the increase in BC reservation from 24% to 34% during Naidu's tenure as Chief Minister.
Lokesh also criticized Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, challenging him to allocate Assembly seats where BCs have a strong chance of winning, particularly pointing to Pulivendula Assembly and Kadapa Lok Sabha seats. He stressed the excellent coordination between the TDP and Jana Sena in organizing mass outreach programs, including 'Babu Surety-Bhavishyathuku Guarantee.'
