Oppositions To Meet EC Today
The exit polls have indicated that the oppositions will not win more than 122 seats, after which all the parties took a call on meeting with the election commission regarding their concerns about electronic voting machines and VVPATs.
On Sunday the exit poll predicted an easy win for BJP and its allies, the parties have predicted that usually exit poll is not right. Mamata Banerjee also added that such exit polls were a cue to manipulate or replace thousands EVMs. There were questionings form most of the party leaders about the functioning of EVMs and counting of 50% slips from VVPATs.
Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy and many other leaders like Mayawati did not attend the meeting of opposition parties which was to be held in Delhi. Whereas Trinamool who had refused earlier, sent their senior leader Derek O'Brien to be a part of the delegation which will meet election Commission.
On this whole situation Election Commission took a stand that whenever, whichever party is losing the election, EC is to be blamed.
