PM Modi Allots UP Most Ministers, AP None
As soon as the re-elected Prime Minister Modi takes the oath as new PM, the actual official work begins. The ministers who will join the cabinet were decided and called upon. There was a huge appearance of 9 from 57 ministers from Uttar Pradesh in the cabinet while there was a zero from Andhra Pradesh.
There were 64 MPs sent from Uttar Pradesh's ruling alliance to the 17th Lok Sabah, got the largest representation in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Council of Ministers. However, some bigger states, where BJP could not even open an account, did not get any place in the council of ministers.
One or more Ministerial berth was received by 21 states out of 29 states, the states which could not receive the berths are Sikkim, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, and Meghalaya, other than Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
Uttar Pradesh got 4 out of 9 for the cabinet rank Rajnath Singh, Smriti Irani, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, and Mahendra Nath Pandey.
