PM Modi Unveils Infrastructure Projects Worth Rs 56,000 Crore
In a monumental move aimed at bolstering Telangana's infrastructure, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a slew of provisional projects valued at over Rs 56,000 crore. The ceremony, attended by dignitaries including State Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, marked a significant stride towards enhancing the state's power, rail, and road sectors.
Among the flagship projects unveiled was NTPC's 800 MW (Unit-2) of Telangana Super Thermal Power Project in Peddapalli. This project, employing ultra-supercritical technology, boasts a capacity to supply 85% of the state's power requirements, showcasing a remarkable leap in power generation capabilities. Additionally, Modi inaugurated the 660 MW (Unit-2) of North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project, featuring an Air Cooled Condenser designed to significantly reduce water consumption compared to conventional methods.
During the ceremony, Modi underscored India's robust economic growth, positioning the nation as a global economic powerhouse. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy hailed Modi's leadership, emphasizing the state's aspirations for collaborative efforts with the central government to emulate the progress witnessed in Gujarat, Modi's home state.
