Pawan Kalyan Begins Atonement Rituals at Kanaka Durga Temple Following Laddu Prasadam Controversy
This morning, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan visited the Kanaka Durga Temple at Indrakiladri, initiating a series of atonement rituals in response to the recent controversy surrounding the adulteration of Tirumala’s Laddu Prasadam. Upon his arrival, he was warmly greeted by the Endowment Department Commissioner and the temple's Executive Officer (EO).
Pawan Kalyan actively participated in a temple cleaning program at Ammavari Temple Metta and later performed puja on the temple steps. Joining him in these efforts were MPs Keshineni Shivnath Chinni, Balashouri, and MLC Hariprasad, all of whom supported the restoration of sanctity at the revered shrine.
In continuation of his spiritual journey, Pawan Kalyan announced his plan to visit Tirumala on October 1. This pilgrimage will include a symbolic ascent on foot via the Alipiri steps, representing his personal commitment to seeking penance for the Laddu Prasad incident. After reaching Tirumala, he will perform rituals at Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple on October 2.
As part of his extended spiritual mission, a Varahi Sabha will also be held in Tirupati on October 3, further underscoring his efforts to restore faith and purity to these sacred traditions.
