Pollsters confused to predict the victory in Andhra Pradesh
With the exit polls released on the last day of the 7-phase of elections showed NDA to be a winner in the central. But when talked about the Andhra Pradesh state elections the pollsters have diverged among themselves.
Two pollsters predict in favor of Telugu Desam Party(TDP) stating its continuation of power for the next five years whereas two others are forecasting towards YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) will be the new government in the assembly elections 2019. Surprisingly no exit polls mentioned in favor of Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena party.
Among the exit polls results India Today predicted that Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSRCP will win around 130-135 seats, leaving 37-40 seats for TDP. It goes the same with another pollster People’s pulse indicating a landslide victory for an opposition party with 112 seats and TDP might reach up to 55-60.
INSS Media and TV5 are those pollsters who are confirming that TDP will be the lead in the elections with seats ranging from 105-120 respectively while YSRCP will settle down with 50-70 seats more likely.
Similarly, the pollsters are divided with outcomes of the Lok Sabha seats from the state as well, where India today and Times Now-VMR predicting victory to YSRCP and Today’s Chanakya and Republic C-Voter have predicted the victory to TDP.
However, it is the Lagadapati RG Flash team survey which predicts victory for TDP in both assemblies and Lok Sabha polls.
Let’s, wait for May 23 to witness the real winner.
