Rahul Urged by Kumaraswamy not to quit

Right after Congress faced big defeat in Lok Sabha Elections 2019, Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi had announced to quit from his post. The statement was made by Rahul Gandhi when in meeting with H.D. Kumaraswamy, Karnataka CM. regarding this statement, Rahul was urged by Kumaraswamy to reconsider his thoughts about his decision.
As per sources, Rahul and Kumaraswamy had met each other even before the Oath taking ceremony was going on for PM and his cabinet. Even after being urged, Rahul was firm on his decision about quitting from his post as Congress
chief.
As per statements made by Rahul Gandhi, it is obvious that it was the right time for the Congress party to elect its new leader and party president. He also mentioned that he would always be a helping hand for a new Party President.
Sources have also confirmed that Rahul had been sticking to his plans firmly since Saturday. He also expressed his point of view to the party about electing a non-Gandhi member as the new chief for the party. The comment was made by him on account of big failure that the party had to face during recent Lok Sabha Elections.
Sources have also confirmed that Congress party has announced for a meeting with its leaders for electing on this issue. During this meeting, the leaders will decide who shall be leading the party for upcoming tenure.
In present Lok Sabha elections, Congress only managed to bag in 52 seats in parliament against 543 seats. With this at hand, Congress had already lost its control from 18 states nationwide.
