Reason Behind The Battle Between CM Jagan And Election Commissioner

Intense tension between Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and election commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar has created ripples in the AP political system.
The sole reason behind this is the postpone of local body elections by the election commission after which Jagan filed a complaint against Nimmagadda alleging that he didn’t take any consultation either from the chief secretary or the health secretary.
He fixed a meeting with Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan and complained to him against the unilateral action of the official. He also asked him to file a complaint against the election commission.
However, the petition was disregarded by the Supreme Court by saying that as novel coronavirus is fast spreading, therefore, it cannot give permissions to let it happen on the fixed dates and the cancellation of the elections is a good step forward.
Later on, a fake letter alleged to be penned by Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar was sent to the YRSCP government, criticizing the government, chief minister, other ministers, and ruling party leaders. It contained bad language and abusive remarks on the ruling government. Following it, Jagan called on AP DGP Gautam Sawang and Intelligence chief Manish Kumar and discussed his fake letter and asked him to investigate the issue. He also launched a probe into the matter and directed the police to find out the source and the person responsible for it.
