Repolling May Happen- Ballot

The Telangana State Commission had taken all the precautions including instructing the staff about the polling and training them for smooth conduct of Zilla and Mandal Parishad’s elections.

However, there were several incidents of the change of Ballot Papers reported in several districts in Telangana states during the first phase of Local Body Elections held on Monday 6th May.

The reports from the districts collectors and observers from Bhongiri, Yadadri, Ranga, Reddy, and Siddipet have been asked for. After the reports will be received, from respective district officers, then only the decision can be made.

The local election will be held in three phases, out of which the first one was held on Monday, approximately 76.8 % polling was recorded, but the final figures are expected by Monday night.

The officials reported that there was a lapse in the Ballot papers, the mandals got the ballot papers belonging to others, which was noticed after an hour. The polling had been completely stopped at Siddipet, where a similar incident was reported.
