Reports of POCSO Case Against Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar’s Son Circulate Online
Reports alleging that a POCSO case has been registered against Bandi Sai Bhagirath, the son of Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar, are being widely discussed across social media platforms and political circles. According to the information currently circulating online, the parents of a 17-year-old girl reportedly approached the Pet Basheerabad Police Station and filed a complaint accusing Bhagirath of serious misconduct. The complaint allegedly states that the minor was forced to consume alcohol and was sexually assaulted at a farmhouse in Moinabad as well as at two additional locations.
Based on these allegations, reports claim that police registered a First Information Report under Sections 74 and 75 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with Sections 11 and 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. However, police authorities have not yet released an official and detailed public statement regarding the matter, leaving many questions unanswered.
At the same time, reports also suggest that Bandi Sai Bhagirath submitted a counter complaint at Karimnagar II Town Police Station. In his complaint, he allegedly accused the girl’s family of attempting to extort money through a honey-trap scheme and demanding ₹5 crore from him.
As the case gains attention online, political discussions and public reactions continue to intensify. Since the matter involves serious allegations and counter-allegations, many are waiting for an official clarification from law enforcement authorities. Police are expected to examine evidence, statements, and digital records before providing a clearer picture of the case. Until then, speculation and debate surrounding the issue are likely to continue across media and political platforms.
