Sachin Pilot Sacked As Deputy CM And State Party Chief

Rebel leader Sachin Pilot along with two other ministers were dropped from the Rajasthan government by the Congress today as they missed the second meeting of MLAs today despite the leadership reaching out to him several times.
In place of him, Congress has appointed Govind Singh Dotsara, an OBC leader and state education minister, as the new president of the Rajasthan Congress.
Minutes after being dismissed from every office he held in Rajasthan, Sachin Pilot tweeted, “The truth can be harassed but not defeated.”
In a media address, the 42-year old said, “Nobody wants to leave his home, but can’t continue to put up with this kind of humiliation; my MLAs and supporters are extremely hurt and I will have to listen to them.”
Before Sachin Pilot’s revolt, the Congress had 107 MLAs and the support of 13 independents and five from smaller parties. That number has now come down to 90 Congress MLAs, seven independent members and three from smaller parties – 100.
Two state ministers in the rebel camp, Vishvender Singh and Ramesh Meena, too have been stripped of their ministership. Meanwhile, Among all this fuss, the Bharatiya Janata Party has demanded a floor test.
