Schools, Movie Theatres To Be Closed In Telangana Until 31 March

In wake of the coronavirus outbreak in India, the Telangana government here on Saturday ordered the closure of all educational institutions till 31 March and has ordered not to gather publicly in malls and cinema theatres till March 21.
The announcement was made by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao after a cabinet meeting as a preventive measure to check the spread of coronavirus.
The Cabinet also decided to keep Rs 500 crores at the disposal of Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar to take all necessary steps to contain the spread of the disease. The Board examination will take place as per the schedule with necessary precautions to be taken.
Telangana has become the eighth state after Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal putting a restriction on mass gatherings and closure of private and educational institutions.
The government has also decided not to give permissions for public meetings, meetings, seminars, workshops, public celebrations, rallies, exhibitions, trade fairs, and cultural events for a week.
