Six American soldiers were killed in an Iranian drone strike targeting a tactical operations centre at Port Shuaiba in Kuwait, raising fresh concerns about troop safety amid escalating regional conflict. According to satellite imagery reviewed by media outlets, the destroyed structure appeared to be a shipping container-style building situated within a civilian industrial port complex. Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth described the site as a tactical operations centre and confirmed that a projectile penetrated air defences. The Pentagon later specified that it was a drone strike.
