Students Protest Over Poor Quality Food in CM Revanth Reddy’s Constituency
Kodangal: Students from the Kasturba Gandhi Girls’ School in Nacharam, located in the Kodangal constituency represented by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, took to the streets to protest against the poor quality of food served in their hostel. Chanting "We want justice," the students sat on the road, blocking traffic, and demanded action from authorities.
The protesting students claimed that they had repeatedly found worms in the rice and curries served to them and had reported the issue to officials multiple times, but no action had been taken. In addition to the substandard food, the students also complained that meals were not being served according to the menu and that they were not being provided with necessary books.
The students called for the transfer of the officials responsible for the poor conditions and urged the District Collector to visit the school and take stern action. Despite police efforts to convince the students to end their protest, they remained steadfast in their demands.
The protest disrupted traffic in the area, drawing attention to the pressing issue of food safety and quality in educational institutions, especially in a constituency under the leadership of the state's Chief Minister.
