TDP Celebrates Landslide Victory in Andhra Pradesh
Jubilant celebrations erupted within the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) as their tripartite alliance, part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), is poised to secure a resounding victory in Andhra Pradesh's Assembly elections. The TDP headquarters is abuzz with festivities, including the bursting of firecrackers and the distribution of sweets, as supporters revel in the anticipated win.
Current trends show the TDP-led alliance leading in 158 out of the 175 Assembly constituencies. The ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) is trailing significantly, leading in only 20 segments. Within this alliance, the TDP is ahead in 131 constituencies, the Jana Sena Party (JSP) in 20, and the BJP in seven. BJP State in-charge Siddharth Nath Singh has personally congratulated TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu on the alliance's impressive performance.
In the Lok Sabha elections, the NDA is leading in 21 out of 25 seats in Andhra Pradesh. The TDP is ahead in 16 of these constituencies, while its allies, the BJP and JSP, lead in three and two seats, respectively. The TDP is dominating almost all the constituencies it contested, with the BJP and JSP also showing strong performances.
