TDP to Commemorate Chandrababu Naidu’s 30-Year Legacy as Chief Minister
The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is gearing up to celebrate a significant milestone on September 1, 2024, marking 30 years since N. Chandrababu Naidu first took the oath as Chief Minister of the undivided Andhra Pradesh on September 1, 1995. The party has planned grand celebrations, including photo exhibitions honoring Naidu’s contributions, which will be displayed at the TDP State headquarters and district offices on Sunday.
Former Minister Alapati Rajendra Prasad, MLC P. Ashok Babu, Buchi Ramprasad, and other TDP leaders praised Naidu’s visionary leadership and his instrumental role in the State’s development. Speaking to the media at the TDP headquarters in Mangalagiri on Saturday, they emphasized that many of Naidu’s policies and reforms have been adopted by other States across the country.
The TDP leaders stressed that only Naidu has the capability to rebuild the State, which they claim was damaged by the previous YSRC regime. Highlighting his political career spanning over four-and-a-half decades, they pointed out that September 1, 1995, was a pivotal day for the Telugu community, as Naidu took the helm to safeguard democracy and protect the State’s interests. Despite numerous challenges, Naidu has continuously worked for the betterment of the Telugu people, they noted.
Alapati remarked that while TDP founder N.T. Rama Rao championed the self-respect of Telugus, Naidu has elevated their self-confidence. He added that Naidu’s commitment to the empowerment of women, SCs, STs, and BCs through the implementation of welfare schemes and development projects has been unwavering. "Naidu has always been dedicated to the progress of the Telugu society as a whole," Alapati concluded.
