TDP's Nara Lokesh Criticizes YSRCP's Failure to Secure Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh

Nara Lokesh, the national general secretary of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), voiced strong criticism on Wednesday, February 14th, accusing the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) of neglecting its duty to advocate for Andhra Pradesh's Special Category Status (SCS) despite its significant representation in both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.
During his inaugural visit to Parvatipuram-Manyam, where he was warmly welcomed by TDP's Parvatipuram in-charge Bonela Vijaya Chandra and other leaders, Lokesh addressed party members. He asserted that Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and YSRCP legislators would suffer defeat in the upcoming elections due to their failure to fulfill crucial promises regarding SCS, the establishment of a railway zone, the completion of the Polavaram project, and other significant commitments.
Highlighting the tragic deaths of two individuals caused by the consumption of contaminated water in Guntur, Lokesh emphasized the public's growing discontent with the YSRCP's inability to provide even basic amenities such as clean drinking water. He alleged widespread dissatisfaction among YSRCP activists towards Jagan Mohan Reddy's administration, indicating brewing discontent within the ruling party's ranks.
