TDP's Nara Lokesh Criticizes YSRC's Capital Decision and Promises Job Creation
TDP General Secretary Nara Lokesh criticized the YSRC government's decision to establish multiple cities as capitals, branding it as one of the "most foolish decisions." In an interview, Lokesh expressed confidence in winning the Mangalagiri Assembly seat, citing his implementation of 29 welfare and development schemes in the constituency over the past four years and 11 months.
Reflecting on lessons learned from the 2019 defeat, Lokesh highlighted the TDP's intensified efforts to counter false propaganda by the ruling YSRC. He criticized the current government for failing to strike a balance between welfare and development, pledging that the TDP would create 20 lakh jobs to significantly boost the state's economy.
Lokesh discussed his campaign strategy, including a Yuva Galam Padayatra to address people's concerns across the state, followed by focused outreach in his constituency. Despite historical electoral challenges in Mangalagiri, Lokesh emphasized his commitment to serving the people and earning their trust, irrespective of caste or religion.
Regarding the opposition candidate fielded by YSRC, Lokesh expressed confidence in his track record of serving all sections of the community and implementing welfare programs. He identified job creation, infrastructure development, and tackling the ganja menace as key issues raised during his interactions with voters.
Responding to concerns about job creation in the IT sector, Lokesh emphasized a multi-sectoral approach, highlighting opportunities in various industries across different regions of Andhra Pradesh. He defended the TDP's manifesto, including the Super Six initiative, as distinct from existing schemes and aimed at striking a balance between welfare and development.
Lokesh addressed potential conflicts within the tripartite alliance, expressing confidence in resolving differences for the collective goal of state development. He anticipated successful vote transfer within the alliance to challenge the incumbent YSRC government in the upcoming elections.
