TRS Received Highest Funds From Electoral Bonds

TRS has received over 180 crores as donations from the firms and individuals and 141 crores through electoral bonds, which is 78 percent of its funds and is the highest that has been received by a political party in both AP and Telangana.

On the other hand, the YSR Congress Party received only 55 percent of its funds through electoral bonds.

As per the annual report of contributions to the party for the year 2018-19 - the direct contributions to the party in the previous financial year were 24 crores and 16.50 crores through prudent electoral trust. The electoral bonds were 141 crores.

The audit reports submitted to the ECI, the prudent electoral trust paid more to the neighboring state's parties - 27 crores to YSRCP and 25 crores to TDP and 16 crores to TRS.

The pink party received over 1 crore in direct donations from 9 people such as 3 crores from one GV Bhaskar Rao, a resident of Tadbund, 2 crores from M/s Raghava Constructions, M/s Venkateshwara Enterprises and Gland Celsus Bio-Chemicals Pvt Ltd, 1 crore each from M/s Aeroc Space Technologies Pvt Ltd, Hotel Park Continental, minister Chamakura Malla Reddy, and Saroja Vivekanand. Most of the donors were from infrastructure companies and realtors.
