Take Special Fund To Tackle Coronavirus In The State: KCR

Health Minister Eatala Rajender stated that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had told him to take special funds if required to tackle coronavirus in wake of the first positive case reported in the State on Monday.

Eatala stated that KCR enquired about the health condition of the first positive case and advised the department to be on alert. The minister also appealed to the public to be careful and take precautions while sneezing or coughing in public spaces.

He also appealed to the state public to immediately consult a doctor in case they experience any related symptoms. The Health Minister said that they have made arrangements in Fever, Gandhi and Chest hospitals for admitting coronavirus cases and kept enough stocks of masks, safety gear, and medicines.

The epidemic continues to expand rapidly worldwide, topping 90,000 cases and 3,000 deaths. The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development cut its outlook for 2020, suggesting that global growth could be cut in half if infections spread more widely outside China.

So, the minister stated that a decision had been taken to sensitize and create awareness in people of the State on steps to be taken to ward off the Covid-19 threat.
